The Denmark Street Fish and Chips Shop is one of the oldest established and well known shops in Bedford having been established over 60 years ago.
In 1967, the Sacco family acquired the shop and over the next 30 years carred out extensive refurbishment and improvements including the fit out of one of the largest fish frying ranges in the County. The business grew significantly under the Saccos serving the people of Bedford and especially in the surrounding Castle and Embankment area.
The current owners of the Denmark Street Fish and Chips shop purchased the business in July 2006 and have continued with the traditional approach to the preparation of Fish and Chips.
Over the last few years, we have had the pleasure of serving many local families and we pride ourself with the reputation of serving the highest quality fish and chips to be found in Bedford. We recognise the demands of families and have an extensive children’s menu

We are able to cater for large group orders (with notice) and have served many large orders in excess of 50 portions of fish and chips.
Our Approach
We believe in cooking all our products fresh and it is rare for our fish to be displayed in our heated cabinets. It’s a short wait but our customers understand our approach to preparing fish and chips. It’s worth the wait !
We do not have a delivery service but we are able to accept telephone orders.
